Project Overview
As Sales & Marketing Manager at The Florian Hotel,  I led the overall sales and marketing strategy to elevate brand awareness, strengthen partnerships, and drive both leisure and corporate bookings. My focus was on aligning the hotel’s creative identity with its sustainability values, while enhancing guest experience and visibility across digital, social, and in-person touchpoints. This is the project I’m most proud of in my career so far — a journey of creativity, collaboration, and purpose. I’m truly proud of what we built together.
My Contributions
I developed and executed a complete marketing strategy, managed content creation and brand storytelling, and led collaborations with key partners and influencers. I introduced impactful initiatives such as sustainability campaigns, signature events, and new in-hotel features that enriched guest engagement. Through strategic outreach, visual rebranding, and optimized sales materials, I strengthened The Florian’s market positioning and expanded its network of corporate and travel partners.

The Hotel

The Florian Hotel is a 4-star design hotel near Schiphol Airport, offering 150 stylish rooms where comfort meets creativity. Open since 2021 and part of WorldHotels Crafted, The Florian blends modern design with retro touches, creating a cozy and inspiring atmosphere. With a focus on sustainability and a personal approach, it’s a vibrant destination for travelers seeking character and connection.

Daily Tasks

Every day at The Florian is different, especially as I was the sole person in the Sales & Marketing department, managing a wide range of responsibilities.
On the marketing side, I oversaw social media, created engaging content, and managed events from concept to execution. I represented the hotel at networking events, trade fairs, and industry gatherings, personally guiding potential clients through the property, while leading initiatives to enhance the guest experience and maintain the hotel’s creative and welcoming atmosphere.
On the sales side, I actively reached out to companies, OTAs, and travel agencies to attract new guests and secure deals. I acted as the bridge between the hotel and WorldHotels, managing RFPs and participating in monthly sales meetings to track performance and follow up on opportunities. All of these responsibilities and projects are detailed below.

I led the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy, including SWOT analysis, customer personas, defining the brand mission and vision, and producing media kits to summarize the hotel overview. I also managed the hotel’s social media, directing photoshoots and creating weekly content and campaigns across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Events for locals, guests, and staff were organized, promoted, and executed by me. Additionally, I oversaw improvements to OTAs and website content, and developed internal programs to enhance staff engagement and guest experience. These initiatives collectively elevated the hotel’s creative identity, sustainability focus, and market presence. Many other marketing actions, both online and offline, were also led by me, and more details can be found below.

Social Media

I personally created all social media content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, including visuals, text, and creative concepts, consistently posting for over a year and significantly increasing engagement. On Instagram, my work helped the hotel reach more than 260.000 views monthly. I directed and executed multiple photoshoots with YML and The Fully Bookers, where I acted, directed, and managed the editing process for high-quality content. Influencer collaborations, including over 11 creators, were managed through the GetBarter platform, which I introduced to the hotel. Additionally, I aligned The Fully Bookers’ Meta Ads campaigns monthly to optimize results, further strengthening the hotel’s online presence and digital identity.

I also proudly won the 2025 Reels Star Competition from BWH Hotels on my own. Over a year, I posted monthly videos based on themes provided by BWH, receiving scores and feedback each month. The Florian emerged as the world winner, outperforming major hotels globally. You can see the certificate of appreciation below.

Events

I organized and delivered multiple events at The Florian from concept to execution. Arts, music, food, sports, and all elements that make The Florian unique served as inspiration for these experiences. We consistently focused on supporting local talent and small businesses by offering them a platform to create meaningful and beautiful events. All aspects—including event concept, promotion, coordination, decoration, filming, and post-event content—were fully managed by me. Highlights include Yoga Classes with Carol Aldighieri, Green Beats DJ sessions, Boiler Room–style sets with DJ Nobody 94, Wine Tastings with Guy van Hoek, an Art Cycle Tour featuring Dutch artists Cees Smith, Diana Gorter, and Maxime Velthuis, and a workshop transforming old books into vases with Diana Gorter in collaboration with NMCX.
